The Nampa English Country Dance group was first formed in 2023. We had a single dance early in the year, then several months without any dances, and starting in October 2023 we established a regular dance schedule on the 1st and 3rd Saturday’s from 5-7pm.

Our dances are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month but sometime there could be changes in time or location, or unexpected cancellations, and we will send out emails to notify dancers. Sometimes we might like to plan a special Ball and will send out emails about that as well.
English Country Dance is an historic form of dance. Some of the dances we practice were originally written in the 1700’s. Some of the music is even earlier, possibly from the 1100’s. English Country Dance hearkens back to a time of honor and elegance, grace and chivalry, respect and courtesy, and we seek to cultivate that type of environment among our group as well. Please dress modestly. Feel free to dress elegantly if you wish, but casual attire is common and acceptable as well.
